THE BEAUTY OF NETWORK MARKETING (MLM)

Introduction:

            Network marketing is a direct selling method in which Independent-Agents serve as distributors of goods and services, and are encouraged to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting and training other Independent agents.

In this method, commission is earned on the agent’s own sales revenue, as well as on the sales revenue of the sales-force recruited by the agent and his or her recruits (called Downline).  Network marketing is also called Multilevel Marketing – (MLM), Cellular Marketing, or by other such names; it is a Multi-Billion dollar world-wide industry that distributes practically any portable item.

Network Marketing’s Beauty Reviewed:

The world Business Research has declared Network Marketing (MLM) out of the world of business to be the only one that has produced more millionaires than any other business in the world. It is the only business that is capable of moving an ordinary person or very poor people (who have even lost all hopes of success in life) – from almost zero point to become a millionaire within a limited time of 2-5 years; with strong decision, hard work, courage, sincerity, persistence and perseverance.

            It is the only business that could be started with little or no capital (but with the qualities mentioned above) and become a millionaire within a short time of about 2-5 years.

To the Network marketers, Robert Kiyosaki has advised: “Do not work for the system; be part of building the system.”

            This is the truth of the modern business system of the world. To become one of the successful people in the list of the world successful people, we should learn and follow the foot-steps of the successful people by building our own network too. Think about this; it really worth it.

            “You can never be rich working for people. To become rich, work for yourself.” (Robert Kiyosaki). This is a good advice for all Network marketers and also for the young ones with university degrees roaming about the street without any job at hand. The earlier people understand this fact the better. Even if they want to take the job, it is not there.

            The old orientation of having a good degree certificate, look for a good and highly paid job, pursue your career and move gradually to the top of the cadre through promotion; retire at the age of sixty or sixty five years has seized to give positive result as it had in the past. The so called retiree retires poor and broke. Due to the poor condition, the retiree will start to look for a new job after retirement in order to put the soul and body together instead of sitting down at that old age to enjoy the fruits of his long term labour. This is the adverse effect of fully relying on job throughout one’s life. The full meaning of job thus states: Just Over Broke. Today, mere certificates are no more recon with; it is what you can deliver into the system that matters. This is what dictates your value and your worth as well.

i.                    Bill Gates – (Microsoft Chief and Software Architect)- the richest man in the world to-date says:

“If I will be given a chance to start all over again, I will choose Network Marketing.”

ii.                  Robert Kiyosaki - (Author – Rich Dad Poor dad Books and Business Investor) says:

“Network Marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.”

iii.                J. Paul Getty – Says:

“I will rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 people than 100% of my own efforts.”

The Rich are getting richer, while the Poor are getting poorer:

 Why?

The only reason is that the Rich are very wise and they follow the Well Proven Principle of wealth by using their wisdom, business understanding and ability to build Networks. They become so powerful, get well connected and become wealthy – getting richer and richer.

Whether the poor like it or not, below is the authentic statistics of the world wealth sharing:

a.       5% Rich people controls 95% of the world wealth.

b.      95% Poor people share the remaining 5% of the world wealth.

The fact is that, if the majority of the world population – 95% continues to do what they’ve been doing to-date; they will continue to get the same results they’ve ever been getting.

If really we want to get out of our present POOR situation, we need to let go our pride, put away our fear and timidity, let’s humble ourselves and learn from these self-made rich Millionaires and Billionaires how to build NETWORKS. If we can sincerely and continuously express every aspect of our potentials; putting on all the qualities of Entrepreneur without hurrying for immediate reward; if we can successfully duplicate all the rich has taught us, there is no doubt that we shall become rich as well.

WHY NETWORK MARKETING/MLM?

It has to be NETWORK MARKETING or no any other business because of its reality to life especially the life of the poor people. It has passed the test of time and it is still putting smile into the face of the poor people right now. As a successful Networker, you have access to the following benefits in life:

1.      Freedom of time.

2.      Freedom of Finance.

3.      No employee advantage.

4.      Low overhead and low start-up capital in business than any business or investment in the world.

5.      No special degrees are required to be and succeed in the business.

6.       Unlimited income.

7.      Tax advantages.

8.      Ability to leverage.

9.      Ability to express your potentials.

10.  Mastering Entrepreneurial acumen and acquiring necessary qualities to become a successful Entrepreneur through the intensive and continuous trainings in the business.

Despite the beautiful aspects of Network Marketing business, still the business records some numbers of failures. This is not a new thing both in life and business as well worldwide. From the beginning, God created male and female, success and failure, life and death (etc.) so, failure in Network Marketing should not be seen as something special or extraordinary. Failure does not happen in business alone, it occurs in every sphere of human’s life.

      But in most cases, what many see as a failure(s) most of the times could be a mere challenge/(s) along the way to success. A challenge that poses itself as a failure can never become a failure until that person concerned accepts it as a failure. The story of Mr. Edison who’s over 1000 experiments in making Electric Bulb were negative will support this statement. If Mr. Edison had seen all these negative experiments as failures and succumbed, you and I would not have had the privilege to enjoy Electric Bulb today. Despite all the challenges he experienced, he persisted and at the end, he had one, only “ONE POSITIVE EXPERIMENT” that made the Electric Bulb possible which we all enjoy today. So, with a little more persistence, we can (as Mr. Edison did), achieve our goal, be successful and also become whatever we wish to become in life.

Some Causes of Failure in Network Marketing:

a.       Quitting:

The general habit of quitting the business when one is overtaken by some temporary challenges is very common among the Distributors.

“When time is tough, be tough with time; tough time never last, but tough people do.” (Schuller)

            Distributors should always note that: Quitters never win, and winners never quit. Whenever you experience any challenge or cog in the business, please stay put and never quit because quitting is never a solution to challenges. The only solution is to persist, endure and continue to move forward until you achieve success.

b.      The Fear of Reject:   

The fear of reject in the minds of many distributors is made so big, even bigger than the reject itself in most cases. Distributors should take reject as part of the business because the game of the business cannot run well without it. The irony of the fact is that what the distributors see as reject (i.e. when somebody is invited to join their business and refuses or says no, they say they are rejected) is no reject but a mere ignorance of the value of the business to which they are invited. If you see it this way, just move forward to meet the next man who is ready to say “YES” to your invitation. Also note that the “NO” of today is never a permanent “NO”. The same man who says no today can later understand the importance of your earlier invitation and change his opinion to say “YES” and then join your business to become an active member of your team tomorrow.

c.       Insincerity:

Many of the Distributors that failed are not sincere to themselves, their up-line, members of their down-line and their customers as well. They appear as if they are busy and would like the people with whom they are working to have the same impression of being busy. But in the real sense, they are practically doing nothing. They are the type of people referred to as being busy doing nothing. At the end of the day, they are the people who will say the system is not working for them and then quit. To achieve success, distributors must be sincere to themselves and every other people they deal with in the business. They must always do the basics and other necessary things right, continuously enough and at the right time before they can succeed in the business.

d.      Lack of Edurance:

Most of the people that failed in Network marketing could not endure the time it takes to achieve success in network marketing. They want their reward now. Even the farmers in the farm when they plant cannot harvest immediately whatever they planted; the seed will have to germinate, the young plant will have to grow to maturity after they have nursed and cared for the plants for months (e.g. maize) or even years in case of cash crop like cocoa or cola nut or palm tree. They will have to wait until their crop matures and give fruits and the fruits also mature before they can think of harvest. This is exactly what it looks like in network marketing. You will need to start the business, work very hard to build it and later it will start to generate dividends; and this waiting takes about two to five years of consistent inputs of time, energy, money, wisdom and patience.

Network Marketers should know that this business is not get-rich quick business; it takes time and hard work to build it.

e.       Over Expectaton and Anxiety:

Some Network Marketers believe in get-rich quick business and therefore join the business with the hope of becoming wealthy within a very short period. But when their expectation fails, they are discouraged and become weak. They don’t see anything good again in the business; they lose every hope and their final decision is to quit the business. They are over ambitious; they want all the profit now even when they have not done enough. Any Network Marketer who wants the best from the business will need to work very hard and persistently too to grow the business and wait until it starts to yield profit. The joy of it all is that once the expected gratification starts to fall in, it knows no end.  

g.      Lack of  Consistence:

Lack of consistence is another challenge that causes failure in Network Marketing. Some Network Marketers had no focus or any dream when they joined the business. Since the majority of them have something doing when they joined the business, so, they are not serious about, the business. They run the business – ‘on’ and ‘off’ system and therefore affecting its growth; when the business does not grow, there could not be a reasonable profit if there is any at all. When the type of money expected does not come, they are discouraged with the opinion that the business is not working and the next thing they do is to quit.

You Can Be Successful In Network Marketing:

      The good thing about Network marketing is that all Marketers/ Distributors are given equal treatment, chance, time and freedom to operate in the business at their own capacity and pace. The only difference between the failure and success is that the people who succeed equally passed through those challenges mentioned above, but they treated these challenges positively, got them studied, and learnt lesson from them; they continued to move forward until they succeeded.

      The failures were passive with the challenges, they were negative in their actions towards the challenges and at last they failed.

       It is important to note that what happens between the successful people who failed in network marketing happens between the rich and the poor. It is these similar factors that

differentiate the wealthy people from the have not.

 

Process of Winning In Network Marketing:

      For the players of a game to win, they have to sincerely follow the rules or guidelines of the game. For Mathematicians to become excellent in mathematics, they must be committed to mathematics. For athletes to win gold medals at the Olympics, they must be fully committed and almost forgotten on the field practicing.

      Like-wise in network marketing Distributors must follow the rules, do the basics on daily bases, be teachable and follow the paths that the successful leaders have followed.

Rule number 1:

      “Making decision to go PRO - the first step toward taking this business all the way to the top.”    (Eric Worre.)

Rule Number 2:

      “Find the game where you can win, then commit your life to playing it and play continuously until you win.”      (Robert Kiyosaki.)

Rule number 3:

      “Put up your ability and potentiality to get a large group of people to take a few simple actions consistently.”      (Eric Worre.)

Rule number 4:

      “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan and believe to win, prepare to win and expect to win.” (Zig Ziglar.)

Create a strong faith and apply the same faith to your business and you become a winner.    

Rule number 5:

      Before you can transform your wallet from poor to rich, you’ve got to transform your spirit from poor to rich as well. The Lord Almighty endowed us with a powerful mind; use the great power of your mind to create success for yourself in the business you cherish and passionate to do.

Rule number 6:

“People empowering people” is another very vital rule for success in network marketing. It is not possible to grow effectively in this business without the up-line empowering the down-line in his team especially in the area of effective training. The more we put helping others first, and focus on adding values to other people’s life, the more abundance flows our ways.

It is a win, win, and win all the way round.

The Power To Win:

            As earlier said, men are created with equal potentials and abilities to succeed in life. These potentials are the power within. The extent to which this power is used determines the success or failure of a man; i.e. when it is positively and effectively used, it results to success, makes man a winner and at the same time makes a man to accumulate wealth. But when it is negatively and ineffectively used, it brings failure, makes man a loser and poor.

            The irony of life is that many do not even know that they possess this power talk less of either using it effectively or ineffectively. This inherent power within us has principles to study and follow them and strictly followed if we really want to have the expression of supper success in our lives as Network Marketers.

            One important thing we must be aware of is that the principle of the power gives us just what we ask of it. If we only undertake little things, it only gives us power for little things; but if try to do great things in a great way, it gives us all the power good enough to achieve the great things we aspired.    

            But in our own interest, we must heed to this important warning in the use of the power within. The warning – We must beware and run away from undertaking great things in a small way. It is very dangerous.

The Last Word Of Assurance Of Possibility:

Thanks be to God who not only created men in His Own image but also created them with the same potentials. The inequality experienced today amongst men is caused through ignorance, folly and mental laziness. God gives men 24 hours throughout the world; He gives individual person two eyes, two legs, two ears and one head with adequate brain with supper reasoning.

            It is a confirmed fact that nothing was in any man that is not in you. No man ever had more spiritual or mental power than you can attain; or did greater things than you can accomplish. You can become what you want to become in life. Physically or spiritually, man knows no limitation, our only limitation is ourselves – (if we say we can, we can; if we say we cannot, we cannot.) “As a man thinketh, so he is” (James Allen).

            If I can do it, you can do it as well. If he can do it, there is no reason why you cannot even do it better. If you do it today, you can still do it tomorrow and always. The necessary inherent power, energy and all the potentialities are already in place within you; except you decide not to use it.

            If God has given you everything needed to succeed excel in life, it becomes a great sin if you fail; and a sinner cannot go without been punished. Part of the punishments that you are due for, for your refusal to use the potentials that God has given you are the poverty, suffering, unhappiness and the undue lack that you are currently passing through here on earth.

            For whatever difficulties or challenges you’ve passed through so far on earth, it is not too late for you to change for better in life as long as you live. Stand up now and make giant positive strides forward and move into your success which is your divine portion in network marketing. Nothing is as easy.
